About Our Nutritional Guidance

Members of The Camp Transformation Center Citrus Heights are provided with comprehensive guidance on nutrition – advice we consider equally, if not more, important as our exercise programs. Data and analysis from over 700 different clinical studies have overwhelmingly concluded that diet and nutrition have a much bigger impact on weight loss than exercise alone. A consensus of experts agree that successful weight loss comes down to 80% diet and 20% exercise – which is why The Camp stresses the importance of holding our members accountable for their caloric intake.

About Our Nutrition Plans

At The Camp Transformation Center Citrus Heights, our nutrition plans are integrated with our 6-Week Challenges. Before beginning the program, our 6-Week Challengers receive a nutrition guide and a specific meal plan – each designed to help you achieve the best results. Prior to beginning this dual routine, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a nutritional seminar that explains the meal plan and the importance of sticking with it. The Camp training staff provides education and recommendations on when to eat, what to eat, and how the meal plan works in conjunction with our fitness programs.

The Camp Transformation Center Citrus Heights’s nutritional plans are designed to be flexible, so that each member can pick and choose their own options from an approved list of recommended foods. We also include specific options for those who eat vegan. Here are some specifics about our nutritional guidance:

  • All options are real, whole foods
  • Expect a healthy mix of clean proteins and carbohydrates, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables
  • Daily meal plan examples are provided
  • You’ll learn how to eliminate processed food, sugars, and fatty foods
  • Plans include macro-caloric counting
  • Advice on nutritional supplements (protein powder, greens, vitamins, BCAAs, and more)

This place has literally changed my life! It is so much more than just a gym. It is a family! Between the trainers who genuinely love what they do and make sure each person gets the attention they need to the people you see everyday working their hardest to become better versions of themselves. This is a transformation center. That doesn't just mean physical. It means your whole body and mind! I can't tell you how many times I have arrived here in a bad mood or in literal tears but left so much happier. Because that's what they do for you. They build you up each and every class. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great place for all fitness levels. Group circuit work with all your favorites like EMOM, AMRAPS etc. Body weight but also kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells, and more. If you don't know those terms, you will! The coaches are lively and they make the workouts fun. You will get a great workout that can be scaled to your current fitness level + a group of supportive friendly members. I love that they do not push you to buy supplements. They have them available and they have sales and make recommendations but they never insist you buy them which is good. They are very community oriented and show that they care on a personal level. There are people there working on the challenges and others like myself who are simply members getting my workout on. We all do the same workouts but those on challenge have weekly weigh ins and meal plans. I highly recommend if you were looking to get into Fitness , get back in to your routine, or just want something new! It will indeed challenge you. Oh and for those that have worked out in CF type gyms: this site has AC!!!

This place has been a life saver. Years I struggled with my weight & honestly I still do, but this Gym has given me the confidence I needed to believe in myself. Stephanie, Marrissa, Coach Jen have been so supportive of me, answering all my questions & checking in on me. Coach Jared, Andre, Anton & Joe have taught me that I can workout at my own pace & still feel good afterwards. This is only the beginning of my life long journey as I navigate a new lifestyle.

To be determined... 6.14.22 - After 1 workout, I really liked it. Love the people, the coaches & the energy. I still haven't got an email of the contract I signed. Haven't heard from anyone for a couple weeks. Thimking of canceling because I just can't find the time to travel here for workouts. I get enough exercise working in my yard and pool at home. I was hoping to get some coaching on meals and food. Oh well.
